About Henry English

Henry English is a veteran at helping clients build their business through the use of effective motion media. He brings to bear experience and expertise in TV Commercial Production - short form, ample budgets, rich visuals, broad spectrum of production – and Corporate Motion Media - long form, stringent budgets.

Henry began his career as an agency producer with a film already under his belt. You See What I’m Trying to Say, a documentary he wrote and directed as a graduate student at NYU about avant-garde jazz musician Marion Brown, was presented in the New York Film Festival and subsequently broadcast on PBS’ Flick Out. Approaching every assignment as a filmmaker, Henry is able to maximize the potential of any board, satisfying clients and gratifying creatives. Through his own freelance production business Henry has honed his estimating and production management skills, often acting as the TV business affairs department for smaller agencies without those resources.

As Executive Producer at Muller Jordan Weiss, Henry set up a small production department to address the complex needs of the Monsanto Agricultural Products account. Henry became director and producer for this account shooting throughout the US and Canada. His in-house production facility gave the client first rate production at substantial savings, and contributed additional profit to the agency.

Henry’s work in Corporate motion media, as a Writer Producer Director, began with a commercial he was producing for retailer B. Altman in partnership with American Express. Based on this work, Henry was asked to create a sales video for American Express that was a case study of the joint effort with B. Altman. The video, Success Story, was so well received, it was also used as a training video. Another production for American Express, To Stop a Thief, was a key component of a program to reduce fraud that resulted in a record 38% reduction in charge card fraud for that year. Henry creates corporate videos working directly for corporate clients and non-profits, and working through ad agencies.
Henry works in both TV Commercial Production and Corporate Motion Media creation through his company, english motion media, inc., formerly Henry English & Associates. He currently has two programs in development for english motion media Edutainment.
